HC Deb 18 December 1997 vol 303 c324W
Mr. Oaten

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many people in each health authority area were removed from NHS dentists' registers because they missed a registration period in each year since 1990. [19655]

Mr. Milburn

The information requested for 1992–93, 1993–94, 1994–95, 1995–96 and 1996–97 has been placed in the Library. The two year registration period for adults was first introduced in October 1990 and so no registrations could have lapsed until 1992–93.

Mr. Oaten

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the number of people in each health authority area who have not made a dental appointment in the last 15 months. [19656]

Mr. Milburn

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for North Southwark and Bermondsey (Mr. Hughes) on 24 November 1997,Official Report, column 423.
