To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what financial support his Department has given to the Atholl and Breadalbane Fox Control Society in each year since 1990. [19522]

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to alter the financial support his Department gives to the Atholl and Breadalbane Fox Control Society. [19521]

Mr. Macdonald

[holding answer 8 December 1997]: The Fox Destruction Scheme under which Atholl and Breadalbane Fox Control Society and the other fox destruction clubs receive financial support is currently under review. A final decision on the future of the Scheme has not yet been made.
