§ Mr. Tom Clarke[holding answer 12 December 1997]The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is following the guidance set out in the CCTA's Tackling the Year 2000 guides and is in the process of alerting all non-governmental organisations and suppliers with which it does business of the importance of Year 2000 compliance and of the need for all organisations and suppliers of strategic goods and services to be compliant by 31 December 1999.
