To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food which enforcement agencies will have responsibility for bovine bones in(a) butchers' shops, (b) cutting plants and (c) abattoirs. [21097]

Enforcement of the new controls on bovine bones in Great Britain will be carried out as part of normal supervision and inspection of food premises, by either the Meat Hygiene Service in licensed cutting premises and abattoirs or local authorities in all other food premises.
