To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what proposals(a) he and (b) the Sports Council have evaluated for the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre; and at what costs. [19763]

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has not evaluated any investment proposals regarding Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. The English Sports Council is currently in discussions with the London Borough of Bromley, who own the site, representatives of sports organisations and others regarding future sporting provision at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. A number of proposals are being considered. Any decisions will need to take account of the Centre's Grade II∗ listing, which I announced last week.

My right hon. Friend and I are kept informed of developments on a regular basis. Information regarding costs of these considerations is not available.
