HC Deb 15 December 1997 vol 303 c43W
Mrs. Gillan

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if his Department has current dealings with(a) non-governmental organisations and (b) suppliers which are not millennium compliant; and on what date his Department will cease to deal with (i) non-governmental organisations and (ii) suppliers which are not millennium compliant. [20524]

Mr. Kilfoyle

[holding answer 12 December 1997]: In accordance with the guidelines produced by the CCTA in September 1996, all new contracts between my Department and non-governmental organisations and suppliers for systems, goods or services that might be adversely affected by non-compliance now include a clause on millennium compliance. For contracts for such products which were already in existence, plans are in place and remedial work is in hand to ensure that any systems, goods or services provided by these non-governmental organisations or suppliers will be millennium compliant in good time.
