§ Mr. FatchettThe British Embassy in Cairo have a continuing dialogue with the Egyptian authorities about land mines laid during the second world war. In 1996, we donated £500,000 of mine clearance equipment to the Egyptians from the aid budget. A further £100,000 is earmarked during the current financial year for additional mine clearing equipment.
