Mr. Hoon

This answer covers the Headquarters of the Lord Chancellor's Department (with Associated Offices), the Court Service, Public Trust Office, Land Registry, Public Record Office and Northern Ireland Court Service.

In LCD HQ (with Associated Offices), the minimum hourly rate payable is £3.44 but there are no full-time staff currently in receipt of hourly rates in any of the ranges specified. There are similarly no full-time staff in the Public Trust Office, the Public Record Office or the Northern Ireland Court Service in receipt of hourly rates within any of the ranges. In the Court Service, there are 202 full-time staff (49 permanent, 153 casual) in receipt of hourly rates in the range £3.30–£3.50, none in the range £3.51–£3.75 and one in the range £3.76–£4.00. These figures do not include a negotiated uplift due to take effect for permanent staff in April 1998. In the Land Registry, there is one full-time member of staff in the range of £3.76–£4.00, but no staff in the other ranges.
