§ Mr. Ian McCartneyThe Government proposed the ten UK pilot projects for Territorial Employment Pacts on the basis of their likely local and regional impact on economic development and job creation. The Economic and Social Committee's report provides interesting background on the potential of Pacts throughout the EU, which local partnerships may wish to take into account as they develop their activities.
