§ Clare ShortThe Government have accepted the targets agreed by the international community at UNGASS and in the OECD which is that every country should have in place policies which contribute to the reduction of poverty, improvement in social development and environmental sustainability by 2015. These are set out in the White Paper. They are ambitious but achievable. We will measure the effectiveness of our efforts, alongside others, against these targets.
