To ask the Secretary of State for Health what proposals he has to increase the use of telemedicine in the National Health Service. [18254]

Ms Jowell

We are encouraging developments in telemedicine in the National Health Service. Telemedicine is a research priority within the Health Technology Assessment programme and several projects to assess its effects on the NHS will be announced shortly.
