§ Mr. MichaelProposals for new regulations were endorsed by the Working Group on 20 November and we are about to begin formal consultation with the police and local authority association. Subject to these consultations, we propose to implement the proposals as part of a comprehensive new set of regulations for the Special Constabulary. This will take account of other recommendations by the Working Group and we are aiming to lay the Regulations before Parliament before the Summer recess.
