§ Baroness Jay of Paddington£814.651 million will be distributed by Personal Social Services Standard Spending Assessments in 1998–99, compared to £7,392. 117 million in 1997–98. Total Standard Spending on Social Services (including specific and special grants) will be £8,292.969 million in 1998–99, compared to £7,846.030 million in 1997–98 plans; an increase of 5.7 per cent.
