To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will instruct the police to take action to limit the activities of Hizb-ut-Tahrir; [63]

(2) what action he has taken against the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organisation. [62]

Enforcement of the law is an operational matter for chief officers of police. The Government have sought to ensure that the police have full powers to deal with racially motivated crime.
