The Home Secretary has asked me to reply to your recent Question about the contract held by United kingdom Detention Services (UKDS) for the operation of Blakenhurst prison.The Prison Service has one contract with UKDS for the operation of Blakenhurst prison. As part of the ongoing management of that contract, there has been and continues to be regular contact with UKDS in discussion and correspondence on a broad range of issues.
