§ Mr. BurnsThe information requested is not held centrally. The Department collected partial information for September 1993, which indicated there were then around 4,750 approved social workers in England. Data for England and Wales for 1994 and 1995 are given in the 1995 edition of the "Social Services Workforce Analysis" published by the Local Government Management Board on the basis of surveys it conducted.
