HC Deb 28 October 1996 vol 284 cc29-30W
Mr. Winnick

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many full-time employees are currently estimated to have no arrangements for pension purposes outside the state pension; and what percentage of the work force this amounts to. [155]

Mr. Heald

We estimate that in 1994 approximately 2.8 million full-time employees had no current additional pension arrangement other than the state earnings-related pension; this represents about 17 per cent. of all full-time employees.
