HC Deb 28 October 1996 vol 284 c47W
33. Mr. Campbell-Savours

To ask the Lord President of the Council if he will review the arrangements for the answering of parliamentary questions by Ministers. [601]

Mr. Newton

I have no plans to do so. The arrangements for the answering of parliamentary questions fall within the remit of the Procedure Committee.

Mr. Harry Greenway

To ask the Lord President of the Council what assessment he has made of the adequacy of the length of time devoted to questions to the House of Commons Commission; and if he will make a statement. [593]

Mr. Newton

The time devoted to questions to the Commission appears to me to be adequate, but I will of course look with care at any representations my hon. Friend may wish to make to me.
