Mr. Meale

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what account his Department takes of the quantity of funding received by the health service from charities in determining public expenditure in this area; [491]

(2) to what extent Government financial policy on the NHS assumes a continued level of charitable contributions to keep the service functioning. [488]
