§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what have been the results to date of English Heritage's excavations into the bronze age village at Brisbane road, east London; and if she will make a statement. [40883]
§ Mr. SproatThe archaeological evaluation has revealed several post holes, one dated to the bronze age, and a drain of possibly medieval or earlier date. The evaluation has helped to confirm the extent of the site of a bronze age village in the area which was identified in a nearby excavation two years ago, and the possible existence of other archaeological deposits in the surrounding area.
