To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what percentage of(a) 16, (b) 17 and (c) 18-year-olds in (i) Wales and (ii) each EU member state are in full-time education or training. [40488]

Information on the participation of 16, 17 and 18-year-olds in education and training for Wales and 11 of the EU member states is presented in the following table. Information given is for full and part-time education and training, as figures for full-time education and training alone are not directly comparable between the countries; 1991–92 is the latest year for which information is available on a consistent basis for these states.
