Mr. Flynn

To ask the Attorney-General how much his Department has spent on(a) publicity, (b) promotion and (c) hospitality in each of the last six years. [40617]

The Attorney-General

The amounts spent on publicity, promotion and hospitality in the departments and agencies for which I am responsible are set out in the following tables. Information for the Treasury Solicitor's Department, lawyers management unit and the legal secretariat to the Law Officers for financial years before 1993–94 could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. It is not possible to distinguish between expenditure on publicity and promotion.
