HC Deb 16 October 1996 vol 282 cc966-7W
Mrs. Dunwoody

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list for each contractor currently employed on the NERC project the number of staff involved and the number of hours of overtime worked for each of the last 12 months. [40686]

Mr. Bowis

Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for the provision of operational software for the new en route centre at Swanwick. It has employed roughly 400 full-time staff on the project throughout the last 12 months. The contract with Lockheed Martin is on a fixed-price basis and no additional overtime costs have therefore been borne by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Mrs. Dunwoody

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the number of overtime hours worked by Civil Aviation Authority or National Air Traffic Services staff involved on the NERC project for each of the last 12 months. [40687]

Mr. Bowis

I have asked the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority to write to the hon. Member.
