§ Mr. KirkhopeThe statistics available relate to the total number of Nigerian citizens removed from the United Kingdom to all countries. Some 350 Nigerians were refused leave to enter and removed from the United Kingdom in the period November 1995 to July 1996. In addition, 290 Nigerians were removed as illegal entrants or persons subject to deportation action; this figure includes persons who departed voluntarily after enforcement action had been initiated. I have received no reports of their present situation.
