The Home Secretary has asked me, in the absence of the Director General from the office, to reply to your recent Question about the work on the refurbishment of A and B wings at Wandsworth prison.We expect that work on A wing will be completed for occupation in November 1998 and on B wing in September 1998. The estimated cost of the work is £11.13m.
