§ Mr. WattsIt is for local highway authorities to decide the timing and content of proposals for traffic measures in bypassed towns and villages. My Department encourages authorities to take full advantage of the opportunities that new bypasses offer. In recent years, we have funded the bypass demonstration project, dedicated to promoting good practice in this area.
