HC Deb 26 November 1996 vol 286 c154W
Mrs. Dunwoody

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to begin consultations with United Kingdom airlines regarding the proposals to change the two-centre strategy for air traffic control. [5110]

Mr. Bowis

It will be for the Civil Aviation Authority carry out such consultations. The chairman of the CAA will be reporting to Ministers on the review following the CAA board meeting in December and it is hoped that final decisions will be made in March 1997. Given this timetable, I would expect the CAA to consult with airlines early in the new year.
