To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much was spent at Her Majesty's prison, Full Sutton on replacing locks following the discovery in the week beginning 11 November of an impression of a master key in a prisoner's cell. [5254]

Letter from David Scott to Mr. Hugh Bayley, dated 25 November 1996: The Home Secretary has asked me, in the absence of the Director General, to reply to your recent Question about the cost of replacing locks at Full Sutton following the discovery of an impression of a key in a prisoner's cell. The cost of materials needed to replace all the Class 1 locks at Full Sutton was £7,173.68.
