§ Mr. MaloneNational health service expenditure in the United Kingdom in 1995–96 was £41,292 million—forecast outturn—which is 5.8 per cent. of gross domestic product. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development publishes figures for health spending, but these are not on a fully comparable basis.
