Taylor[holding answer 13 November 1996]: Consumers buying packaged computer software enjoy the same statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as when buying any other type of good. However, if the hon. Member has any specific concerns about computer protection in respect of computer software, he may wish to write to me with them.
