§ Mr. AncramUptake under the forestry grant schemes in Northern Ireland has increased over the past five years from around 500 ha in 1991–92 to more than 800 ha in 1995–96. Expenditure in 1995–96 was some £1.1 million and is expected to be just under £1.2 million in 1996–97. Future spending will be determined following the conclusion of the 1996 public expenditure round. Approximately 10 per cent. of annual provision is spent in each of the first two months of the financial year.
