Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will list by year for each of the last five years, and by sex, the number of persons successfully convicted under section 139 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988; [2721]

(2) how many (a) men and (b) women have been successfully convicted under (i) section 1 and (ii) section 139 of the Prevention of Crime Act 1953 in each of the last five years. [2722]
