§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 4 November 1996]Last year, in reply to the Agriculture Committee, the Government said that they would continue to monitor our current quarantine regulations with a view to replacing them if alternatives offering the same degree of protection became available.
We are now looking at the matter, taking account of the most recent information. If new moves are decided upon an announcement will be made.
