To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department on how many occasions since May 1993 courts have deemed his Department had acted illegally; on what dates the rulings were made and in relation to which cases. [843]

[holding answer 29 October 1996]: No central record is kept of the outcome of all the cases against the Home Office since May 1993, which include judicial review applications, writ actions, industrial tribunal cases and county court cases.
