To ask the Lord President of the Council if he will publish in theOfficial Report the letter sent to the hon. Member for Southwark and Bermondsey (Mr. Hughes) giving details of the number of days and hours the House has sat in each of the last 10 years. [1656]

The information requested by the hon. Member for Southwark and Bermondsey in his oral question to me of 28 October is as follows. A copy of my letter to him of 28 October has been placed in the Library of the House.

at September 1994 and September 1995, is set out in the table by unitary authority. While information is collected centrally on the numbers of three-year-olds attending other voluntary and private sector centres, it is not currently possible to identify whether a three-year-old in such a voluntary or private sector centre is receiving education as distinct from care. Information on the number of three-year-olds who have enrolled for pre-school education since August 1996 is not yet available.
