§ Mr. Freeman
The deregulation task force is an independent advisory body, and it is for it to decide which issues it wishes to address in its reports. All recommendations that it makes to the Government are considered entirely on their merits, and in the light of the views of others. In common with other advisory non-departmental public and advisory bodies, members are appointed for the expertise they can provide.
The company interests of members of the deregulation task force, as with members of all non-departmental public bodies, are a matter of public record.
