§ Mr. RichardsThe Department makes access funds available to the Welsh funding councils for distribution to further and higher education institutions. These funds enable institutions to provide financial help to full-time students who are in financial difficulties. Some £1,661 million has been made available for this academic year and £1.732 million for next year.
