HC Deb 16 May 1996 vol 277 c545W
Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his policy on agricultural pollution. [29044]

Mr. Gwilym Jones

Pollution is tackled through a variety of measures. These include the provision of free advice to farmers, the availability of codes of good agricultural practice, a programme of targeting specific river catchment areas identified in consultation with the Environment Agency where farmers are encouraged to prepare their own farm waste management plans, and the availability of waste handling grants in nitrate vulnerable zones.
