§ Mr. MaloneAll non-executive directors of national health service trusts are entitled to remuneration of £5,000 per year. National health service trust chairmen are remunerated in one of three bands. These bands, which have not been increased since 1991, are currently:

- Band 2: £17,145
- Band 3: £15,125
A list of those appointed to national health service authorities and trusts as at 1 April 1996, together with their remuneration details, will be published in the summer and copies will be placed in the Library.
