§ Mr. HanleyWe have been at the forefront of European states pressing for the further liberalisation of trade with north America—in both Brussels and Washington. One of the priority elements of the EU/US action plan, which closely reflects the UK's ideas, is a joint study which will look at ways of reducing transatlantic barriers to trade and investment.
