The consultations have now been completed. The Government's proposals for a British academy of sport as the pinnacle of a network of regional centres of sporting excellence and sports-specific academies, was widely welcomed in the consultation. Details of the proposals will be set out in the bid prospectus, which is now being prepared with the Sports Council. The prospectus will be published shortly.
The findings of the consultation form an important part of the development of the policy and the preparation of the bid prospectus. A summary of the main conclusions will be published with the bid prospectus.
