§ Mr. AncramThe planning of major building schemes for schools and colleges in Northern Ireland is an on-going process. The selection of schemes for inclusion in the Department's capital building programme takes account of the priority rating of individual schemes, their state of planning readiness and the availability of resources in any year.
At present there are 121 major schemes in the top three priority categories in the schools planning list. These are at various stages of planning. Twelve high priority building schemes for further education colleges are also in planning.
