To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the Home Office constabularies in England and Wales whose control rooms can broadcast to and receive calls from the personal radios of Ministry of Defence police officers. [27807]

[holding answer 7 May 1996]: Where necessary, local arrangements exist to enable Ministry of Defence police officers to be in two-way radio contact with Home Office constabularies. I am aware that the following forces in England and Wales have entered into such local arrangements:

  • Avon and Somerset

  • Devon and Cornwall
  • Dorset
  • Essex
  • Gloucestershire
  • Gwent
  • Hampshire
  • Kent
  • Lancashire
  • Merseyside
  • Metropolitan
  • North Wales
