§ Mr. Raymond S. Robertson[holding answer 7 May 1996]: The crofting counties agricultural grants scheme currently provides grants to crofters towards the costs of all these measures. The agricultural business improvement scheme currently offers grants in respect of the planting of shelter belts; provision, replacement or improvement of electricity supplies; and the provision of stock grids on croft roads. The farm woodland premium scheme and the Forestry Commission's woodland grant scheme currently provide support in respect of the planting of shelter belts.
