To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans he has to investigate the operation and resourcing of community care. [28160]

Mr. Bowls

We monitor the operation of community care on an on-going basis. This includes work by the social service inspectorate, the regular collection and publication of statistics and longer-term research to evaluate progress.

Resources for community care are considered fully each year as part of the public expenditure process.
