Letter from Robert Home to Mr. Tom Cox, dated 7 May 1996:
The Secretary of State has asked me, in the absence of the Chief Executive, to reply to your question about registered disabled people living in the Greater London area.
I regret that it is not possible to supply the information in the form requested. However, as at 15 April 1996, the latest figures available show that there were 48,685 people registered as disabled in the Greater London area. Of this total 34,229 are male and 14,556 female.
I hope that this information is helpful.
