§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonA standardised survey on randomly selected samples of children aged five across Scotland found that the mean percentage of five-year-old children for whom there is evidence of caries experience was 59.2 per cent. in 1989–90 and 58.2 per cent. in 1991–92. Figures for 1995–96 are not yet available.
