§ Mr. FreemanThe Office of Public Service does not collect centrally comprehensive information on inward and outward secondments and attachments. The full detailed information requested in addition to the aggregate data already published can be obtained only at disproportionate cost. However, when information was last collected centrally, in 1995, we received details of 57 civil servants who, at that time, held, or were due to take up, non-executive appointments within private sector companies either for developmental reasons or on an ex officio basis. Although some details may have changed, the names of the Departments, civil servants and organisation involved are as listed.
