636WDepartmental contracts contain a condition which deals with early termination. This allows, if appropriate, for contractors to be compensated for unavoidable costs arising from early termination, and for the Department to be similarly compensated if the termination is by the contractor. The costs would be wholly dependent on the particular circumstances and so no generally applicable cost can be given.
