Mr. John M. TaylorThe number of staff in DTI paid for work in excess of 48 hours in any week between 1 February 1995 and 29 February 1996–13 months—is 2,051. This is 24 per cent. of the staff eligible for overtime payments. Senior staff do not qualify for overtime, and staff working flexitime do not necessarily attract overtime in any particular week.
